Overview

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala's capital, is a green, hilly city near the southern tip of India. Its centrepiece is the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, and the Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Palace and the beaches of Kovalam and Varkala are close by.

The city is also a centre of science and technology, with the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and Technopark, one of India's early IT parks.
